About PairME

Message from the Founder

Dear Friends,

Scott and I met as freshmen at NYU in 2015, bonding over our shared love for sports, cinema, travel, and—above all—food and drinks. We often dreamed of starting a food truck or a brand, but in the summer of 2018, just before our senior year, we decided to launch a wine company.

Every day after class, we would sit in Bobst Library, crafting our business plan, designing labels, and—cheekily—sipping wine when no one was looking. We knew we had to create a brand that would cut through the highbrow language of the wine world and make it more accessible for everyone. That vision led to the birth of PairME Wines and our mission to “Simplify Wine Pairings.”

In the summer of 2019, we introduced our first wines—Seafood, Steak, and Summer Salads—each featuring a bold, eye-catching emoji on the bottle. Our approach turned heads, sparked conversations, and even drew some laughs from skeptics. But we knew we were onto something. Then, just as we were gaining momentum, the world came to a halt. The COVID-19 pandemic changed everything.

For much of 2020, 2021, and 2022, we struggled. It was a tough road, but through Scott’s relentless efforts on the ground and the unwavering support of our family and friends, we managed to stay afloat. By 2023, we knew we had to evolve. We spent the year rebuilding, preparing to execute a bold new vision for 2024—one that would transform PairME from a niche food-pairing wine brand into a multi-brand distributor and wholesaler.

Today, we are a team of over 20 people with a portfolio of more than 50 products, actively serving the New York and New Jersey markets while expanding our reach nationwide through retail and our online store.

This journey has been filled with challenges, lessons, and unforgettable memories—but also a lot of fun. We hope that passion, care, and dedication shine through in every bottle we offer.

At the end of the day, we were just two kids with a dream to sell wine. Now, we’re just older kids hustling every day to keep that dream alive.

Thank you for your support—we couldn’t have done it without you. We hope you’ll continue to be part of our journey as we reach new heights!

Cheers,
Ayush Maheshwari
